Student X Case Study

Ok, my fellow blog readers, I am going to take you through a comprehensive case study involving student X. Names have been changed to protect the innocent and easily embarrassed. This study will focus on the evolution of a forex trader and the (hopeful) improvement in his knowledge and ability to trade in the Foreign Currency Exchange Market. Stay tuned for updated posts describing his journey through the Forex market.

Student X. He’s an average guy interested in generating another source of extra income. He’s heard of the Forex (Foreign Currency Exchange Market) and he understands the basics of how the Forex works but he doesn’t want to take the time to dive into the complexities and advanced techniques of it. He’s claimed that he can “master” the Forex on his own with all the information the internet has to offer for free. So, he went off and learned how to trade on his own.

He skipped a demo account and went straight into micro lots ($200 account, $0.10 pip value) and has gotten down to $32 left and his Forex Broker keeps giving him “insufficient funds” messages. He thought he was trading the right way, but his emotions and his foolishness got the best of him and his account has suffered because of it. I’m just glad he wasn’t trading full lots. ($1000+ accounts at $1 a pip)

He has been challenged to try out Market Traders Institute’s slew of educational products.
